Rake is how poker sites make their money (and they make lots!). For every pot that's played, they take a small fraction for themselves. Usually it's a couple of cents per dollar - not a lot, but it mounts up quickly.

However, you don't have to pay all of that rake - below we offer 'rakeback' bonuses. From the rake the site takes, you can get back 30-50% - and this isn't a deal that runs out after a month! For the entire time you play at a site, you'll get some of that rake back (even if we close the MeteoricPoker site - we just make the deals, the poker site will always pay you the rakeback).

The rake is taken from the pot whether you win or lose, so of course you'll get the rakeback of that pot too. This means EVEN IF YOU LOSE, you'll get money back! So much so, that there are high stakes players who are breakeven players and yet make a living just off the rakeback they receive!
